About the Foundation

The Nagelschneider Foundation was established by Hildegard Nagelschneider in 2000, in Munich, as a non-profit foundation under German civil law. Its purpose is to foster, promote and explore the Sun, Biomass, Wind, Water and Geothermal Energy as self-renewing sources of energy and thus help create a sustainable and ecologically friendly energy supply.

Our visions are:

Providing sufficient ecologically friendly energy
Producing energy locally - where it is needed
Harnessing energy without loss
No more CO₂ being released into the atmosphere
Cars that don’t use gasoline, planes that don’t use kerosene
Using the energy of volcanoes
Deriving energy from tornadoes and lightning

What sounds utopian today can be reality tomorrow. Taking the first steps in unexplored new territory requires courage. That is why the Nagelschneider Foundation supports people who dare to go in new directions and whose projects bring visions a little closer to reality.
