Hildegard Nagelschneider

...was deeply concerned about conservation and environmental protection for many years. She was always particularly interested in the question of how future energy needs could be met without the use of fossil fuels. She tried time and time again to find people and institutions that dealt with those issues, but soon realized that the use of renewable sources of energy was considered a side issue.

In order to impetus to the issue and to promote and advance the support of alternative sources of energy, she decided to launch the foundation.

„With the establishment of this foundation out of my private assets, I want to give some impetus to intensifying research. I would be pleased, above all, if many more people would contribute to the search for and the improvement of alternatives to the current production of energy.“

Hildegard Nagelschneider died on the 8th of February, 2002, at the age of 95.
